Clinical Collaborators Network
The Cornell Health Policy Center (CHPC) Clinical Collaborators Network is a network of clinically active faculty that would be available to collaborate with non-clinical (e.g., PhD) researchers across Cornell University and Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM) within the CHPC.
About the Network
The Clinical Collaborators Network is a curated list of faculty within various clinical subject areas.
Members of the Clinical Collaborators Network will be:
- Clinicians (e.g., physicians, nurses, social workers) who regularly see patients
- Based at Weill Cornell Medicine
- Have research experience
- Have an interest in health policy/health services research
- Willing to provide content knowledge in their clinical area to health policy/health services researchers
Some Clinical Collaborators may already be serving as CHPC Core or Affiliate Faculty Fellows.
HOW IT WORKS
We expect that CHPC Clinical Collaborators will provide substantive, intellectual contributions to research, which may include:
- Formulating a clinically relevant research question
- Selecting clinically meaningful predictors, covariates, outcomes
- Providing input on data elements and their measurement limitations
- Contributing clinical knowledge that will help frame the research findings and policy implications
- Co-authoring research manuscripts
- Serving as an investigator or co-investigator on grant applications
- Impacting state and federal health policies by contributing to policy-relevant research
